The Scenic boasts unique technology features, an intelligent space concept and a distinctive interpretation of progressive, dynamic Renault design. Further highlights of the compact MPV include highest level active and passive safety.      

The Scenic 's sportiness and elegance are emphasized by the V-shaped tapering of the front and rear with the characteristic Renault crease, the strong, rising body shoulder and the aerodynamic roofline gently sloping downward to the rear.     

The Scenic's trademark is of course always on board - unrivalled in terms of its flexibility, the Flex7 seating system enables the transformation of the interior in a matter of seconds, without cumbersome removal of the seats. The front passenger seat can also be ordered with a foldable seat back, fold-down table on the seat back, and a large storage compartment under the seat cushion. The spacious interior features high-quality materials, high-class finish and perfect ergonomics. The driver-oriented cockpit is an excellent example: all the controls are clearly arranged and ergonomically positioned in easy reach of the driver.     

The 1.6 engine debuting in the Scenic delivers sporty performance with moderate fuel consumption. With power output of 103 kW/140 hp, this unit is the first of a new generation of Renault engines and boasts continuously variable camshaft phasing. The 1.6 scenic is available with the Easytronic automated five-speed manual transmission. This also has a special Sport mode, which moves the shift points up to higher engine speeds.     

Every Scenic comes standard with the newest-generation Electronic Stability Program ESPPlus, Traction Control TCPlus, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), brake assist and Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS).
