The economical Toyota Yaris Hatchback was introduced in America for the 2007 model year and shares the same drivetrain and frame as the Yaris Sedan. However, aside from the frame and drivetrain, there are actually relatively few similarities between the hatchback and the sedan.

The hatchback is in fact built at an entirely different plant than the sedan and is manufactured with completely different sheet metal as well as different components throughout. The two door hatchback seats up to five passengers and has ample cargo room for a subcompact car.
